Dump the Pump Challenge
Each year, transit agencies throughout the country urge motorists to give up driving for one day and explore other methods of transportation options: riding public transit, walking, biking, or carpooling. RTA is taking this annual event and adding a fun twist. Check out information below on the Face of RTA contest. You could win a Flip Ultra HD Digital Camcorder or any number of prizes.
Compete for prizes in the Face of RTA video contest
i-ride, why do you? Here’s your chance to show us why you ride. Is it to help the environment? To help your pocket book? To ride to work stress-free? Give us your story on video and become eligible for cool prizes including a Flip Ultra HD Digital Camcorder, an iPod Video Nano, a $50 Best Buy gift card, and six 31-day RTA bus passes. Winners of random drawings will receive Dayton Dragons Ticket Packages and bus passes. From May 17th through June 14th contestants can upload video entries to YouTube and send the link to nowens@greaterdaytonrta.org. If you are not able to upload your video, please mail or drop off a DVD copy at Wright Stop Plaza, 4 S. Main St., Dayton. Please limit the length of your video to two minutes. Winners will be announced and their videos will be shown on Dump the Pump Day, June 17, in the concourse at Courthouse Square. The free event will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Join us for videos, prize wheel giveaways, and more.
