Join the local chapter of this national effort and commute to work in downtown Dayton by bike. To make it easier, Drive Less Live More will feature guided rides from the east, west, and south along the recreation trails. Free Drive Less Live More give-aways to first 200 riders. Free breakfast and prizes at the National City Bank 2nd Street Public Market. Bike to Work Day corporate sponsors include roll:, Miami Valley Regional Planning Commission and CH2MHILL.

River Ride
Saturday, July 12, 2008, Time to be Determined
Grab your bike and hop on the River Ride. Riders will visit several sites along the Great Miami River Recreation Trail picking a playing card at each spot along the way. At the end of the ride, participants will record their poker hand. Enjoy food, clinics and prizes.

Vanpool Subsidy Program
If you commute more than 25 miles one-way, you and a group of up to 14 people may be interested in leasing a van on a monthly basis. The MVRPC Rideshare Program has vans available for groups wanting to vanpool to work. As an added incentive, MVRPC will pay up to 50 percent of the monthly lease rate. Learn more.
